Who is Bee Housing Limited?

All major functions within Bee Housing are undertaken by Bee Housing Limited's managing director Rodney Dykes or under his general direction as provided by one of Bee Housing Limited's associates.

Rodney Dykes has a substantial history within the industry. He trained and qualified as an Environmental Health Officer and Housing Manager whilst working in Local Authorities.

Subsequent to this, his career progressed into housing associations where Rodney Dykes became Deputy Chief Executive of Merseyside Improved Houses and North British Housing Association (Riverside and Places for People respectively).

He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.

In 1980, Rodney Dykes founded his own consultancy under the name Rodney Dykes Housing Services Limited (RDHS). The sale of RDHS to the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) in 2007 enabled Rodney Dykes to form Bee Housing Limited and continue to provide industry leading services.

Until its successful conclusion in 2005, Rodney Dykes was Deputy Chair of the Liverpool Housing Action Trust. He has also conducted Statutory Inquiries for the Housing Corporation and the Welsh Assembly Government and he was a regular columnist for Inside Housing.

Rodney Dykes has received the International Prize for 2003 from the Canadian Housing and Renewal Association (CHRA) and the John D. Lange International Award 2006 from the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO, USA).

Rodney Dykes is a Trustee of Henshaws Society for Blind People, The Grundy Homes and the Matthew Haygarth Trust. He is also a non-executive director of the Southport and Ormskirk Hospital Trust.
